PureCode Design is a studio founded on very simple principles.
Design should never say, “Look at me.” It should always say, “Look at this.” – David Craib
A truly effective design is not measured by how flashy it is, how clever it is, or how many options it provides. All design has an ultimate purpose, which is usually to highlight something or make information easier to access. It should always be measured on how well it performs that purpose above all else.
I believe that the best designs are those that support and highlight content instead of taking attention away from it. I also believe that design should be affordable, that designers need to listen carefully to their clients, and that there’s always something new and interesting to learn.
As a user of the WordPress platform, I follow the principles of open source software, and I am committed to giving back to the WordPress community wherever possible.
PureCode Design is the creative playground of Claire Ryan, a self-taught web designer and graphic designer with a background in marketing. She’s worked in everything from retail to data analysis, and picked up a varied assortment of skills along the way.
She plays Xbox games in her spare time.
