Graphic design should:

  • Follow best design principles
  • Be easy to adapt, if needed
  • Always conform to the preferences of the user.

Graphic design is like art, and it’s a very subjective thing. It’s easy for a designer to take the view that their work is superior to the opinion of the client. In reality, the client will never have full confidence in the design unless they are completely happy with it.

Any design must have a solid base, and for me, that’s the ideas and wishes of the client.

All of my designs follow the industry best principles and are made available in a variety of formats. My tools of choice are the GIMP, MyPaint, Inkscape, and Scribus, as I run solely on Linux and I’m committed to the principles of open source software. I believe that any design should be easily adaptable to other sizes and mediums if needed.
