Websites should:

  • Be efficient, because lean code loads faster
  • Have a clean, uncluttered design that allows the content to take center stage
  • Be user-manageable, even for non-technical admins.

To that effect, I build sites based on the WordPress platform, and aim to keep it simple, accessible, and adaptable. Graphics are kept to a minimum, and the majority of the site is styled through code alone. Simple custom options are built into the WP back end so that users can make limited modifications without being overwhelmed.

I believe that site design should be affordable, and I can quote for a range of options and budgets depending on the needs of a business.

PureCode Design is also committed to the spirit of open source software. As WordPress is a free platform that anyone can adapt for their own use without having to pay a license fee, all publicly available PureCode themes are offered under the same conditions.

(Legally speaking, this means that PureCode themes are released here under the GPLv2 license, so you can download them, do whatever you want with them, even sell them on if you like. The only restriction is that if you do pass them on, you must offer all of the code openly, just as I do here.)

If you like my themes and want to support open source software, please consider making a donation to the Free Software Foundation.
